The
Rossmoor/Los Alamitos Area Board of Directors is proud to report
that the District is financially sound, self-sustaining, and operates
without imposing usage fees which are typical in most cities. Today
the District serves more that 8,000 sewer connections throughout
the 54 linear mile system, funded exclusively through property tax revenue,
interest on allowed investments, rental income and permit and plan
check fees. The percentage of total County tax receipts allocated
to the District's General Fund remains at .001% of assessed valuations
which has not changed since the District was founded in 1952.
The
District maintains ongoing sewer cleaning and directed video inspection
throughout the service area to insure integrity of the main sewer
lines. This preventative maintenance and inspection allows us to
identify areas that may require

maintenance,
and thus gives us the opportunity to schedule appropriate repairs
without interruption of service to the community. Overall the sewer
system serving Rossmoor, Los Alamitos, the College Park West area
of Seal Beach, and parts of Cypress is in good physical condition,
the system is operating within or below capacity limitations, and
there are no indications of inflow nor infiltration occurrences.
Through ongoing maintenance and inspection, the sewer system remains
in excellent physical condition.
The
Board of Directors pledge to continue preventative maintenance,
monitoring, and construction to insure the same reliable quality
service you are accustomed to, using only current revenue sources.
